Predicitions for 2012

2012 will be the year that Mobile becomes essential for every business. If you website doesnt currently support mobile or is not at least usable on tablet devices then its time to start thinking about making changes to ensure it works.

2012 should see Android gain more ground and will also let us know if Windows Mobile is going to make any inroads as a mobile operating system.

It is also crunch time for Nokia and Blackberry. These giants that 2 years ago looked un shakeable are now in real trouble and I certainly hope they deliver the goods in 2012 to push mobile phones and the handheld devices further forward.

2012 may also be the year that we finally see Android tablets become popular. the Amazon Kindle Fire shuld become available for more nations and as a result of that Android tablets should see a huge increase in Apps available in the market places.

Android is likely to take over iPhone globally but I personally wonder how much impact Android will make in Australia. Currently a iOS dominated marketplace will we see Android take hold ?

With 700,000 Android devices being activated daily I certainly think Android is here to stay and it will definately be a leading product in 2012.
